*Just a FYI, what inspired this was a plan on the YouVersion bible app. It is called Spirit-Filled Jesus: Your Weapons To Defeat The Devil by Mark Driscoll. God, my sister, and I just added to it.
Seven weapons God equips us with:
The Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh)
The Holy Spirit is the Counselor whom God sent in Jesus’ name, to teach us everything- He is a Spirit of truth. He intercedes for us when we are weak and do not know what to pray for. We receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon us: i.e: strength, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, endurance, regenerative power, etc. (Jn. 14:26, Jn. 16:13, Rm. 8:27, Acts 1:8)
Our identity (through God)
Our identity through God is everlasting, whereas our identity through self is fleeting. Being confident and knowing who we are in God will help strengthen our foundation against the wiles of the enemy. Two examples of this can be found with Adam and Eve and Jesus. Genesis 3:5 states, “for God knows that on the day you eat of it eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” They were already created in God’s image, they didn’t need to be like Him. However, Adam and Eve had forgotten who they were and as a result, the serpent’s deception was an unfortunate success. Now, as for Yeshua (Jesus), in Luke 4:3 “the devil said to Him, ‘ if You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.’” Luke 4:4, “Jesus answered him, ‘it is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” Jesus did not have a doubt about who He was- He knew who He was to His Father and therefore, was able to remain steadfast under temptation. I think it is important to note, however, that Yeshua knew who He was at the young age of 12. In Luke 2:49, Jesus responds to His mother when she finally found Him after searching for Him for several days. "He said to them, 'How is it that you searched for Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?'” He was only 12 and He was sure of who He was- the Son of the living God, Yahweh. That is awesome!
Godly perspective (relationship with God)
Godly perspective is determining what is important to you- the things of this world or God. In Luke 4:5-7, the devil shows Yeshua (Jesus) all the kingdoms of the world and tells Him He could have it all if He bowed down to worship him. Luke 4:8 “Jesus answered him, get behind Me, satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.’” God then proceeded to lead me to Mark 8:36, which says, “For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?” and also Colossians 3:2, “set your affections on things above, not on things on earth.” For whoever chooses the things of this world, be prepared to lose God because you cannot serve Elohim and mammon. However, whoever loses their life for His sake, will find it (Matthew 16:25)
Spiritual sword (word of God)
Your spiritual sword is the word of God. You can be well versed in scripture but not believe in it. However, take a believer, filled with faith and confident in their identity in Christ and the word of God is a powerful weapon. The enemy hates the word of God, so keep it in his face! Jesus responded to all of satan’s tricks by using the word of God (refer to the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness). Using the word of God in spiritual warfare/deliverance is much like prayer, you know. “Saying a prayer is not the same thing as praying. In order for your words to become true prayer, they must be understood, meant, and the prayer must come from the depths of your soul” (I cannot remember who said this, but I thought it was insightful).
Faith to trust (surrender)
Faith is a gift from God. It takes faith to trust in God. Faith to trust in His word, faith to trust in His redemptive plan to save us, faith to trust that if we surrender our all to Him, He will never steer us wrong. Faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him- without faith, we do not have Him. 2 Corinthians 5:7, “for we walk by faith, not by sight.” Faith is rare, but when acquired, can move mountains. Matthew 17:20, “Jesus said to them, ‘because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, if you have faith as a grain mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’ and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you.’”
Blood of Jesus (redeemed)
The blood of the Lamb is an atomic weapon. Yeshua (Jesus) was a sinless man living in a sinful world (Hebrews 4:15). It was this precious Man’s blood that was shed for us, His blood that washes and cleanses us from all of our sins, iniquities, and transgressions. His blood that broke every curse, chain, contract, and sickness keeping us bound to the enemy. His blood that set us free and redeemed us! (1 Jn. 1:7, Eph. 2:13, Heb. 9:14, Rev. 5:9)
Praise (worship/thanksgiving)
Praise is an overlooked weapon. I feel, mainly because a lot of us tend to forget to praise God through EVERYTHING. We love to praise and thank God when He blessed us, but not so much when He corrects us, chastises us, challenges us, or allows us to go through the fire. I absolutely love how Job responds to his wife when she tells him to curse God and die. Job 2:10 “He said to her, ‘you talk like one of the foolish women talks. Will we indeed accept the good from God but not accept the adversity?’” How real and true is that? Do you realize how much that must have angered the enemy? I love it. Isaiah 61:3 talks about putting on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Let’s take a trip down to 1 Samuel 16 when the Spirit of God left Saul and an evil spirit troubled him. The solution was to find a skilled player on the Lyre who could play so Saul would be well again. David was brought before Saul and it was as David began to play, that the evil spirit departed from Saul. Does Isaiah 61:3 begin to make more sense now? In the book of Joshua (chapter 6), the walls of Jericho came down because they were PRAISING. That was it! God uses praise all throughout scripture as a means to defeat the enemy (seen or unseen). Obviously, praise isn’t only used as a weapon, but it is important to know that it is one.
*It is important to note that it does not matter what position we have in the church or in the body of Christ, if we lack biblical understanding and Godly wisdom/knowledge in a certain area, how can we possibly have authority in that area?

So the people went up into the city, one man after the other, and they captured it. '
